Why do I receive an error when uploading an audio only wav or mp3 file?

Although the platform is designed for videos, Vidyard does have the ability to accept audio only files, so that you can embed and gather analytics on audio, such as podcasts.

When you upload an audio-only file, (e.g. mp3 or .wav), you get an error message that looks like this:

Error message showing an invalid extension problem

The reason why this is occurring is because the audio-only compatibility feature has not been installed on the group you are currently active in.

Install the Audio Playback option from the feature store. After enabling this, your audio files will be accepted.
