When you have linked or pushed a video to YouTube, you will gather the general Vidyard Analytics, but also receive YouTube view counts into the Player Insights graph.
Use the Sources filter in the Analytics center to view data from YouTube either separately or in conjunction with data from Vidyard.
- From the Vidyard dashboard, select Insights > Players
- In the upper, right-hand corner, choose Filters
- Click sources; enter the data source in the search bar.
- Click Apply Filters.
Note: Videos imported from YouTube using the Add From YouTube option will not display analytics on this graph.
You have pushed/linked a video, and you see YouTube view counts on your YouTube channel for a video, but not on the visitors graph after changing the dropdown.
It's possible that Vidyard managed to push the video but failed in the linking process.
If you go to the video settings page, there should be an indication of the current YouTube status. The example below shows one that is working (look for the green checkmark by the 'Last sync' message)
If you see an error here, then use the Options dropdown to Un-link Video and then attempt to re-link.
When you click on the YouTube option to re-link, you may be presented with more information about why the previous link failed.
One example might be that you have not verified your YouTube channel. Until you do that, certain restrictions such as a maximum length of 15 minutes are apparent.
