Vidyard will automatically sync changes to your video metadata after pushing and/or linking to a video on YouTube. There may be occasions when this metadata goes out of sync and an error will show on the video settings page.
After doing a fresh re-sync with YouTube on a video settings page, an error will show saying that one of the items is still out of sync, such as the video title or description.
The reason why this has occurred is likely due to YouTube 'cleaning' the written text after being synced. Often hidden characters can be within these fields without the user knowing. Vidyard does not edit what has been added into these fields, but YouTube will remove some special characters.
Remove any hidden characters in the fields which have been marked as 'not in sync'. It might be best to copy the text out into an external editor first (e.g. Notepad), editing the text to remove the characters and then pasting it back in. Once this is complete, a resync should remove the error.
