This can be achieved by running a local web server or uploading the PDF to Google Docs.
Mac OS:
The traditional method to run a Localhost is to type "python -m SimpleHTTPServer 8000" into the Terminal.
After, you can open a Chrome browser and type "localhost:8000". This will give you a directory of all your files and allow you to open your PDF from there. After opening your PDF, you can record the content along with the face camera at the same time.
Windows/Mac Alternative:
A simple way to have a localhost running is to install the 'Web Server for Chrome' extension (be aware that this is not Vidyard software and is not supported by us). After downloading, you can browse to the location of your PDF file and record GoVideo content. The process should be similar to this:
Google Docs:
You can also open the PDF using Google Docs. This is similar to opening a PowerPoint file on Google Drive. Here is an article on recording a powerpoint presentation with GoVideo.
