An annotation event allows you to enrich your video with additional links, buttons, image or functionality. You can create and add an event to your videos from the Vidyard event library.
If your annotation redirects the viewer to another tab, the video will continue to play in the original tab. This may make for a poor viewer experience.
The following solution provides a script that allows the video to pause when the annotation is clicked.
- From the Vidyard dashboard, select Content > Events
- Click Edit next to your annotation event
- Add the following script to the button of the source code for your annotation
- Click Save, then assign the event to a video (if you have not already done so)
