The Vidyard for Salesforce feature is available on your parent and sub-groups (if part of your contract).
Sometimes, organizations can have more than one instance of Salesforce that they wish to connect to particular groups in the Vidyard structure. This is entirely possible.
If you connect a Salesforce account to the parent group, you will notice that the integration will be inherited by the sub-groups. This will save you time when completing setup.
However, if you wish to connect a different Salesforce instance to a particular group in Vidyard, you can override the inherited integration.
- Login to the particular Salesforce instance that you wish to connect.
- By the Vidyard for Salesforce setup instructions and ensure that the Vidyard app package is correctly installed.
- Within the Vidyard group that you attempting to integrate, select Group > Integrations, then select the Connect a Salesforce Account button.
This will create the connection to Salesforce and set it for the group. After the new instance is connected successfully, the Parent Account message will be removed and the Organization ID of the new Salesforce instance will display.
Important note: You can only connect a Salesforce instance once to a Vidyard group. Therefore your Vidyard GoVideo groups can only inherit the Salesforce instance that is set in the parent group and cannot inherit one set at a sub-group level.
