In some cases, you may see duplicate leads being created in Salesforce when also using a third-party marketing platform to create leads alongside Vidyard.
This is caused due to a delay of information between Vidyard and the marketing automation platform. By the time Vidyard gets the information for the lead, if it has not yet been created in Salesforce, Vidyard will create the lead.
However, at the same time, the third-party marketing platform will push the lead to Salesforce causing the duplicate.
To mitigate this, Vidyard suggests turning lead creation OFF for the Salesforce integration. By doing this, Vidyard will hold the information until the lead is created rather than creating a new one.
Important: Turning lead creation OFF can only be done by a member of the Vidyard team with admin rights.
