Vidyard allows you to download multiple versions of a video from your library.
Whenever you upload a video, Vidyard prepares the file through a process called encoding. As the video encodes, Vidyard creates multiple versions at different resolutions (1080p, 720p, etc).
You can download a copy of your video at any of the standard resolutions, including the original source file.
The source file will download in whatever format the video was originally uploaded. The versions of the video encoded at different resolutions (720p, 1080p, etc) will download as an .mp4.
Requirements
- The Video Downloads feature requires a paid Vidyard subscription
- You must belong to a role with the Download Videos permission enabled
Select a video to download
- From the Vidyard dashboard, select Content > Players
- Hover over the player that contains the video you want to download, then click Video(s).
- Open the Advanced menu beside the video you want to download.
- Click Download.
- Select the version of the video you want to download.
- Alternatively, copy the Public URL to allow someone else to download
