Vidyard offers the opportunity to edit custom pre-built landing pages for your players called Sharing Pages. These are available in the platform in order to simplify the process of sharing your content to a prospect or other interested party.
The Sharing Pages can show the title and description next to the player, allow comments, as well as have the ability to include a tracking code from your Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) and other services.
You may have a scenario where, for some of your players, you want to remove the metadata content from a Sharing Page (title, etc) so that the focus remains solely on the player.
If you have a number of players that need a blank sharing page, then you could provide a direct link to the source of the player. These are always available in the following format:
You can see the relevant URL link with UUID in the iframe src section when you check the Trouble embedding option located below the Inline Player embed code:
If a player is viewed on these pages, the analytics will be collected as normal, and query strings can be added to the URL in a similar fashion to the sharing page (e.g. vyemail, autoplay etc).
Note: Be aware that your sharing page scripts will not be on this page. If this is a problem, then a more appropriate solution is to copy your players into a different subgroup and then build a new sharing page for only players in that group. This could have features such as Show Player Title and Allow Comments turned off.
