When you are looking within Vidyard, you can see the total number of views for a player by hovering over the i symbol (on the player dashboard), or within Player Insights (see, Insights > Players).
You may also be looking at information from the last 30 days, shown next to the player on the dashboard.
You know that a video has been watched more or fewer times than the number of views showing.
It is most likely that the video in question exists within more than one player.
First, ensure that you are looking within the correct group and also check that the video is not located in more than one player.
If you search for the video name in the parent group (choose Group > Change Group to switch to the parent), you should see every instance of where the video is being used.
From here, you can compare the view counts for each video and determine if they more closely match the view count that you had in mind.
