Our teams have been hard at work. We’ve got a whole bushel of updates for you this month!
- Video Thumbnail Timestamps. You can now apply a timestamp to your thumbnail to let viewers know how long your video will run. After recording, select a default static or animated thumbnail from the Edit page.
Trimming Improvements. You can now set specific time stamps for more precision when trimming your videos.
Pause and Switch Camera on Mobile. When using Vidyard on iOS or Android, you can now pause while recording to switch between your front- and rear-facing camera.
Lighting Adjustments When Recording. If your home office setup doesn't have the best lighting conditions, the Adjust for Low Light setting allows you to increase the brightness of your video before hitting record. You can use this feature when recording in camera mode inside your Library.
- Video Insights. The new Video Insights popup gives you a quick snapshot of who’s watching, when, and for how long. Click the purple View Count badge beside any video in your library to pull up the details.
Reporting Improvements. We’ve added a couple of additional fields to report exports. You’ll now see your videos' UUIDs, folder names, and embed locations in reports.
- Stream Summary. If you use Vidyard for live streaming, there’s a new set of video analytics available. The Stream Summary gives you details like how long your live stream was, how many viewers watched it, and how engaged they were.
