How to set up Vidyard's MCP in Zapier
Zapier's MCP client lets Zapier access your Vidyard account to power tools like Zapier Agents, giving them the ability to provide detailed information about your videos, campaigns, analytics, and more.
This article will walk you through how to add Zapier's MCP for Vidyard, what information the MCP can access, and how to manage your connection.
How to set up the MCP client in Zapier
The setup between Zapier and Vidyard takes place entirely in Zapier. You'll need to sign in to the Zapier account you want to connect.
- Select App connections from the main menu, then Create connection
- Search for MCP Client by Zapier and select it

- OAuth: Yes
- The bearer token is optional and does not need to be filled out

- Sign in to the Vidyard account you want to connect to Zapier, then select Continue
- Use the checkboxes to choose what Zapier can see and do, then select Authorize to finish
What can Vidyard's MCP do?
Vidyard's MCP in Zapier can do different tasks and gather different information from Vidyard depending on your plan and what permissions you set when you connected your account. Here are just some examples of what the MCP can see and do. We're adding new functionality all the time!
- Analytics - Get aggregated insights and breakdowns from your videos and your Vidyard Actions (CTAs).
- Avatars - Get a list of your available avatars, create avatar videos, and check whether existing avatar videos have finished generating.
- Campaigns - Find campaigns, get a list of videos they've generated, check their variables, and generate videos with them.
- Videos - Get information on your videos, update them, see when they've finished processing, or add new videos (via recording or uploading).
To change permissions, you can use the Replace credential option when managing your Vidyard MCP connection.
How to manage your Vidyard MCP connection
If you want to manage your connection with Zapier, go to the Connections page, then select the menu button (3 dots) next to Vidyard's MCP client. From here, you can:
- Rename your connection
- Share your connection with other users in your Zapier account
- Test your connection if necessary to ensure it's active if you're experiencing issues
- Use Replace credential to connect your MCP to another Vidyard account, or change its permissions
- Change the owner if you want another user in your Zapier account to manage the connection and make changes
- Delete the connection if you no longer want to use Vidyard MCP in Zapier
