Help viewers understand their progress with the current play time and video length

You can choose the add a timestamp to your player control bar that indicates to viewers their current play time (in minutes:seconds) and the total duration of the video.

Along with the video's progress bar, the current play time is a great way to show viewers how much of your video they've watched during playback.

The timestamp added to the video's control bar to indicate the viewer's current play time and the total duration of the video

Use the Video Time toggle in your video's player design settings to add or remove the current play time/duration.

Enable the Video Time setting

  1. Select the video from your library that you want to change
  2. Select SettingsPlayer Design
  3. Click on EditSelecting Edit to change the video's player design settings
Note: If the Edit button instead says Override that means the video inherits its settings from the folder-level defaults. Selecting Override allows you to exempt the video from the defaults settings and then make unique changes.
  4. Open the Design tab, then toggle Video Time to ON/OFFSwitching the Video Time toggle setting to ON
