On Business plans, users must have the Edit Integrations permission enabled.

Connecting Vidyard to a YouTube account allows you to directly publish videos from your library to a YouTube channelno need to switch between applications.

When you publish to your channel, Vidyard directly uploads the video so that it plays natively within YouTube. You'll find the video alongside the rest of the content in your channel's library.

With the connection between accounts, you'll also be able to:

Connect Vidyard to YouTube (Business plans)

You can connect Vidyard to YouTube in different folders within your account. If the folder contains any subfolders, the subfolders will inherit the connection as well so that you don't have to repeat the integration setup.

Once integrated, any user that has access to a folder with a connected account, plus the permission to Push videos to YouTube, can then publish videos to your channel(s).

Reconnect your YouTube account

You may need to Reconnect Vidyard with one or more of your YouTube accounts if you encounter a connection error with the integration.

Connection errors commonly occur if there are updates to YouTube's Terms of Service, or the access granted to Vidyard in your Google account's data & privacy settings has changed.

When an account is in a disconnected state, you have 30 days to reconnect, after which YouTube requires that we remove data associated with the integration; this means that:

  • Videos published to a disconnected YouTube channel will unlink from Vidyard (this cannot be reversed). As a result, you will no longer be able to...
        • sync video details from Vidyard to your published videos on YouTube
        • see new or existing views that published videos have received on YouTube in Vidyard's Insights (applies to Business plans).

You can always see the number of days you have remaining to reconnect on the Integrations page in your account.
