How to set up Video Agent in your Gong Flow
Accounts without the Video Agent add-on can create up to 15 AI videos.
Want to reduce the amount of time your team spends on outreach? Use the Video Agent for Gong workflow in your Vidyard campaigns to automatically create and send personalized video messages to your contacts when they take specific actions, like booking a demo or filling out a form.
This article will walk you through how to get set up—connecting the integration in Vidyard, creating a Campaign, and configuring your Gong flows to create custom videos. The steps here are an example of how to set up and use Video Agent, but you can further customize your workflow to perfectly fit your needs.
Connect your Gong account to Vidyard
You must be a Technical Administrator in Gong to connect this integration.
The first step is to connect your Vidyard Video Agent to Gong. You can do this from your Integrations page.
- Sign in to your Vidyard account
- Navigate to Admin > Integrations, then select Add next to the Video Agent for Gong integration
- Sign in to the Gong account you’d like to connect, then select Allow to finish
Choose a campaign for your workflow
To create AI-generated videos for your viewers, you need to create a Vidyard campaign that Video Agent can follow. You can use dynamic variables in your script (e.g., {{first name}}) to personalize videos for each viewer.
Each user in your account that you'd like to create videos for should be added to this campaign. This allows the contact owner's avatar to be sent to the contact, so that they receive a personalized video from the correct member of your company.
Once you've created a campaign (or selected an existing one), go to the Workflow tab and pick the Gong platform from the dropdown menu. The Campaign share link and HTML values here will be needed for further setup in Gong, so copy them into your notepad for future steps.
Create an email template in Gong
Next, we’ll add an email template in Gong that includes a dynamic link to the videos created with Video Agent. This ensures that the correct personalized video is sent to each contact.
- Select Engage > Templates from the main menu
- Select + New template, then enter a title and body for your email
- Choose Insert from the Gong toolbar where you want to place your video, then enter the text you copied from your Vidyard workflow tab:
- Link - Campaign share link
- Text - HTML
- Select Save to finish
The inserted link will appear as HTML in the template window, but will render as a thumbnail that links to your video when it’s sent to contacts.
Create a Gong Flow to send your videos
Vidyard creates custom videos for your contacts based on the actions you set up in your Gong Flow. Within Gong, you can create personal or company flows before sharing them with your teammates. You’ll be adding the template you created in the last step to this flow.
- Select Engage > Flows from the main menu, then + New to create a new flow
- Enter a name for your flow, choose where you’d like the flow to live, then select Create
- Save it within one of your personal flow folders or within a shared company flow folder
- Save it within one of your personal flow folders or within a shared company flow folder
- Select + Add Step > Manual Email from the dropdown menu, then select Templates and choose the template you created in the last step
- You can add any additional steps you’d like to your flow
- You can add any additional steps you’d like to your flow
- Choose whether to Publish your flow from the dropdown menu
- Publishing lets you start this flow for contacts and leads and share it with your teammates.
- Select Save to finish
Once you’ve created your flow, you can change its ruleset from the Settings menu. You can learn more about rulesets here.
Add contacts to your Flow
Once you’ve created your flow, you can start adding your Gong contacts. Vidyard uses the information from your contacts to create personalized videos just for them.
You can add contacts manually or integrate Gong with your CRM to have contacts automatically added from connected systems.
