Once you've set up a sharing page for your account or folder, you can add widgets that let viewers interact with you in different ways. You can:

  • Share your contact information card
  • Let viewers book time with you using your calendar
  • Link to external resources with a quick button
  • Show a live transcript so viewers can follow along
  • Add extra customization to your page and widgets with JavaScript

Adding widgets to your sharing page makes it much easier for people to get in touch and lets you tailor the viewing experience to fit your brand.

How to add widgets to your sharing page

To start, navigate to the folder you'd like to edit the sharing page for. The widgets that appear depend on the folder type; for example, the Contact card and Calendar widgets appear only in personal folders because they are linked to a specific user's information.

  1. Sign in to your Vidyard account, then select a folder from the list Selecting a folder from the list in your Vidyard library
  2. Select Tools (icon), then Sharing page from the main menu
    • If you're in a subfolder, you might be taken to the parent folder when you select Sharing page. Select Previous folder to go back to where you were, and Do not show again to prevent this behavior in the future.

  3. Select Try widgets at the top of the page

    • You can also select Manage widgets if you've already set up any widgets

  5. Toggle ON any widgets you'd like to appear
  6. Select Preview sharing page to take a look at how your widgets will appear Widget management settings open with options to set up new widgets or enable existing widgets

Once you've finished making changes, each enabled widget will appear on your sharing page for any video you send from that folder. Preview page showing how all of the available widgets appear on the screen

Contact card

Adding a contact card shows your Vidyard user profile information to viewers, including your name, email, and job title. Any change you make in your profile will appear in this widget, and vice versa.

Calendar

Enabling the calendar widget lets you add your preferred calendar app either beside or below your video, so viewers can book time with you. We support platforms such as Calendly, HubSpot, cal.com, Chili Piper, Google, Outreach, Salesloft, Pipedrive, and more.

Call-to-action

The Call-to-action widget lets you add a button to your sharing page that you can use to link out wherever you like: a booking page for a demo, a link to your LinkedIn profile, or anywhere you'd like to direct your viewer. You can control the button's label text, link, and color.

Transcript

Enabling this widget shows the video's transcript to the right of the video (or underneath in smaller windows), so viewers can follow along via text or search for parts of the video they'd like to watch.

Please note that the video must have published captions in order for the transcript to appear.

Custom

If you want to add custom code to your widgets, you can do that via the Custom option. This widget lets you add your own JavaScript, giving you flexibility to customize how your widgets appear on the page, or even add your own.
