As of April 6, 2022, Salesforce has renamed Pardot to Marketing Cloud Engagement. Learn more

Pardot Business Units are separate databases within a Pardot account that allow you to partition your marketing activities (including prospects, campaign and other assets) by different regions, products or services.

Each Business Unit has a unique ID.

You'll need a Business Unit ID in order to set up Vidyard's integration with Pardot. The ID tells Vidyard which database to send data to.

Requirements

  • A Pardot edition that includes Business Units (Plus, Advanced, or Premium)
  • Admin permissions in Salesforce to access your Pardot Account Setup
Note: Business Units are not provided to Pardot Plus accounts. In order to set up Vidyard's integration, you need to reach out to your contact at Salesforce in order to obtain the necessary ID.

Copy your BUID from Pardot Account Setup

  1. Open Salesforce Setup (the gear icon)
  2. Use the Quick Find menu to search for Account Engagement, then select Business Unit Setup
  3. Copy a Business Unit ID
