How to cancel your Vidyard subscription (Vidyard Pro & Plus)
Looking to cancel your subscription? We’re sorry to see you go, but if you feel like you’re not making the most of Vidyard, you can follow the steps below to cancel your plan.
Cancel your Vidyard subscription
- Sign in to your Vidyard account
- Select My Profile in the bottom left-hand corner, then select Billing
- On Vidyard Plus accounts, the Billing option is under Workspace Management in the main menu
- Click on Manage billing details under the Billing and Subscription section
- Select Cancel Plan, then Cancel Plan again to confirm
- Take note of your subscription end date. After this date your account reverts to a Vidyard Free plan
After cancellation, you will be provided with an exit survey to help us better understand how to improve Vidyard. We appreciate any and all feedback you are willing to provide!
What happens after I cancel my subscription?
When you cancel your Pro or Plus subscription, you continue to have access to all of your plan's features until the end of your current billing cycle.
At the end of the billing cycle, your account will revert to Vidyard's Free plan, and you will lose access to the following features & abilities:
- Unlimited videos
- Download videos
- Secure videos with a password
- Embed up to 20 videos
- Customize your video sharing page
- Add an Action (CTA) to your sharing page (Applies to Pro)
- Allow viewers to comment on your video sharing page
- Access individual video insights
Vidyard Plus plans lose the above, as well as the ability to:
- Create and customize sharing pages for your videos
- Create and add Actions (CTAs) to your videos
- Add captions to your videos
- Access advanced video insights, team-based analytics, and reports
Will canceling affect my videos?
Canceling your subscription does not affect the existing videos in your library. You can continue to access your videos, and viewers can still watch your videos wherever they have been shared.
After canceling, your account will be subject to the usage limits in Vidyard Free:
- Any new videos that you record cannot exceed 30 minutes in length
- You can only have a maximum of 25 videos in your library
- You can only embed up to 5 videos with the inline embed code
How to resume your Vidyard subscription
If you’d like to continue with your Vidyard subscription after having canceled, you can resume your existing plan anytime before the end of the current billing cycle.
By resuming your plan, you will:
- Prevent your account from reverting to Vidyard Free
- Continue the subscription with your original billing frequency (monthly or annual) — keep in mind, this means you will be charged on the next upcoming billing date
- Continue to have access to the features included in your subscription
- Sign in to your Vidyard account
- Select My Profile > Billing from the main menu
- On Vidyard Plus accounts, the Billing option is under Workspace Management in the main menu
- Select Manage billing details
- Select Renew Plan, then Renew Plan again to confirm
If your account has already downgraded to Vidyard Free and you want to resume your paid plan, you will have to set up a brand new subscription. Sign in to your account, then select the Upgrade button to re-subscribe.
