In a few quick steps, you can share videos with your followers on Twitter directly from Vidyard.
From your library, simply select Twitter as the channel where you want to share your video. The video will then be added to the body of your Tweet.
Viewers can either click on the link to watch the video on your sharing page, or watch the video directly within their timeline (on twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com or the Twitter desktop app).
Sharing a video to Twitter
- Click on the Share button next to a video in your library

- If you are not already authenticated, Twitter may prompt you to sign in to an account
- Format your Tweet as desired (write your own message, start a thread with additional tweets, etc).
- When finished, select Tweet to post your video
Watching videos shared to Twitter
How your video appears on Twitter depends on your viewers' device and the application they are using (twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com, the Twitter desktop or mobile app).
twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com or the Twitter desktop app
When you open Twitter with a web browser (on both desktop and mobile) or use the Twitter desktop app, a preview of the video will appear inside of the Tweet on your followers' timelines.
The preview will include the video thumbnail, title and description.
When the viewer clicks on the play button, the video will expand and play back directly within the timeline.
Twitter mobile apps (Android and iOS)
When using Twitter on a mobile app, only the link to the video sharing page will appear in your followers' timelines.
If you select the Tweet to open the detailed view, you will see a preview of the video that includes the thumbnail, title and description.
When the viewer clicks the play button, a mobile browser tab will open that contains only the video. Alternatively, selecting View on [your domain name] will open the video on your dedicated sharing page.
Supported settings on videos shared to Twitter
Many of the settings that you apply to your videos in Vidyard (your thumbnail, colors, captions, etc.) will also appear when the video is shared to Twitter. However, there are some exceptions based on the way Twitter incorporates the video into their platform.

|Custom video colors||Yes (except for the play button)|
|Video security (passwords, IP whitelists, domain restrictions, SSO secure playback)||Yes, any security settings added to your videos continue to apply in Twitter|
