On Business plans, users must have the Edit Integrations permission enabled.

Connecting a Facebook account to Vidyard allows you to directly share videos to Pages that you manage.

When you share a video to a company page, the video will play inline natively within Facebook. This means that your viewers can watch the video from directly within their timelines, rather than being sent to a separate browser tab.

With select product plans, you'll also receive view counts from videos shared to Facebook along side the rest of your video analytics in Vidyard.

Note: It is recommended that you connect to a Facebook account that has administrator or editor permissions on the Pages that you want to share videos to.

Frequently asked questions

What access does Vidyard have to my Facebook account?

When you connect Vidyard to Facebook, you are asked to allow Vidyard to access and manage parts of your account. Vidyard needs all listed permissions enabled in order to be able to push your videos to pages on Facebook.

You can always review and remove access you've granted to third-party apps (like Vidyard) in Facebook's data & privacy settings. Removing access will invalidate the integration with Vidyard.

Can I connect Vidyard to more than 1 Facebook account?

Yes, you can connect Vidyard to multiple Facebook accounts. When you go to share a video to Facebook, you'll be able to select which of your connected account's pages you want to publish to.

  1. Select Apps & Integrations from the main menu in Vidyard
      • In Business accounts, go to Admin Integrations and use the Change Folders button if needed
  2. Select Manage next to Facebook
  3. Click on Add Another Account to make the connection
