How to download a video from Vidyard

You can download a copy of a video from your library at any time.

You'll have the option to either download the original media file or a copy of the video at different resolutions (1080p, 720p, etc). Vidyard creates these additional copies whenever you upload or record a video.

• The Source (or original media file) will download in its original resolution and file type
• Any other version of the video will download as an .mp4 file

Need to give the video file to someone else? You can also share a download link to any of the available versions of your video.

Select a video to download

1. Click on the title of a video in your library to open the edit page.
2. Click on the Download button beneath the video preview
   • The download option may also be in the dropdown menu (the 3 dots ...)
3. Click on the download icon next to the version of the video that you want to download
   • Alternatively, copy a download link to share the video file with someone else

Why can't I download my video?

If you don't see the option to download a video, please try the following:

• Refer to the plan availability chart at the top of this article. The Download feature is only available on paid plans, starting with Vidyard Pro. Download is not available as a feature for Free users.
• If you are on a Vidyard for Business (Essentials, Growth, Enterprise) accounts, ensure that your user belongs to a Team with Download videos permission enabled.
• Make sure you are currently on the edit page of a video, not a playlist. If you're on the edit page of a playlist, click on the title of the video you'd like to download from the Videos list at the top of the page.
