How to share your avatar with your teammates
Once you’ve created a custom avatar, you can share it with your teammates. Sharing your avatar lets other users in your account create videos using your likeness.
Sharing your avatar can be very helpful if you want to delegate your AI video creation to a teammate. You can share with single users or entire teams within your account.
Sharing access to your avatar
You can let other users access your avatar from the AI Avatars page. Any users you share with can create videos with your avatar, but can’t delete or edit it in any way.
- Sign in to your Vidyard account, then select Tools > AI Avatars from the main menu
- Select the menu button (3 dots) next to the avatar you want to share, then Share access
- Enter the names or email addresses of any users or teams you’d like to share your avatar with, then select Share
Anyone you share with will receive an email and in-platform notification that they can now use your avatar to create videos. You’ll also receive a notification when they create any videos.
Removing access to your avatar
You can remove any user’s access to your avatar at any time. This will prevent them from creating new videos with your likeness, but they’ll still have access to any previously created videos.
- Select the menu button (3 dots) next to the avatar you want to share, then Share access
- Select Manage next to the list of users with avatar access
- Select Remove next to the user you want to revoke access for, then Remove again to confirm
Frequently asked questions
Can I share my avatar with someone outside of my account?
No, you can only share your avatar with other users in your account.
If I remove someone’s access to my avatar, can they still see the videos they created with it?
Yes, removing someone’s access to your avatar prevents them from creating more videos with it, but it does not affect videos they’ve already created.
If I delete an avatar, does it remove other users’ access?
Yes, if you delete an avatar, any users who were given access cannot create more videos with that avatar. Deleting an avatar does not affect any videos that were already created.
Can I see how other people are using my avatar?
Yes, anytime a video is created with your avatar, you’ll be notified by email and in Vidyard. You can use the link in the notification to view your video.
If you don’t want to receive these notifications, you can turn them off under Shared Avatars in your notification preferences.
