Video playback in emails is a function that some clients allow, but not all.
Solution
Although possible to play certain video content in some email clients, a Vidyard Player is required to track the views and have a consistent experience for all viewers. To accomplish this, embed a thumbnail into the email, which directs them to a Vidyard sharing page or a landing page with a Vidyard player embedded.
To create the best impression that a video is embedded in the email, use a GIF animated thumbnail to capture the viewer's attention and this will render in the majority of email clients.
By utilizing a Player with autoplay enabled, only one click is needed to view the content.
