Videos with multiple audio tracks

You can upload videos with multiple audio files to Vidyard. This is useful for videos with audio in multiple languages, or for videos which require audio description. (Learn more about making your Vidyard players accessible here.)

How it works

It's very simple - if you have a video file with multiple audio tracks, just upload it into your Vidyard video library as per usual, and you're good to go. Just make sure the second audio track is a part of the video file before you upload it into Vidyard.

Viewers will see the option to toggle between audio tracks in the player controls.

The video player controls show a headphones icon, which when clicked displays two audio options.

Requirements

Any multi-track audio video files must be uploaded in the following format:

  • H.264 encoded video files
  • MP4 file format
  • Advanced audio coding (AAC) audio

Limitations

Note that multiple audio tracks will only function on supported browsers. Additionally, multiple-tracks audio will not function on Internet Explorer 9, 10 or 11.
