How to add an intro banner to your screen recordings

Introduce yourself by adding your name and job title to screen recordings 👋

You can use a name tag when recording with the Vidyard browser extension (for Chrome & Edge), desktop app, and integrations like Vidyard for Gmail.

The name tag appears in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen for the first 8 seconds of the recording. You can use the name tag either with or without your camera bubble.

Requirements

• You must have installed either the Vidyard desktop app or the browser extension (for Chrome or Edge)
• You must be recording either your Screen or your screen and camera (the name tag is not available on camera-only recordings)

Turn on your name tag

Open the Vidyard browser extension or desktop app, choose a screen recording option, and select the name tag icon at the bottom left.

Change your name tag's text and color

Once you've turned on your name tag, you can edit both your name and role, and select your preferred color.

Select the Edit Text (T) button to change the information on your name tag. Click on the Edit Text icon again, or press Enter on your keyboard to finish.

Select the color palette icon 🎨 to choose a color.
