How to control your automated titles, descriptions, and chapters
Vidyard optimizes your videos as soon as you add them to your library, so that they’re instantly ready to send with custom titles, descriptions, and chapters based on your video’s content.
If you want to manage your videos manually, you can control which aspects are generated by default in your main folder or customize individual folders. You can apply these changes individually to the different video types in your account.
How to control AI customization on shared folders
You can customize which aspects of each video type are automated within any shared folder’s settings. These settings will apply to any new videos created using the selected methods after you make changes.
Please note that a folder’s AI customization settings also apply to any subfolders that inherit from it.
- Enter the folder you want to customize
- Select the cog next to the folder name, then select Settings
- Use the tabs and toggles provided under AI Customization to choose whether titles, descriptions, or chapters should be generated for each type of video
How to control AI customization on your personal folder
You can also customize which aspects of each video type are automated in your own personal folder’s settings. These settings apply to any new videos created using the methods you select, after you make changes.
Please note that your personal folder’s AI customization settings also apply to all personal subfolders; you cannot make individual changes to each subfolder.
- Open your personal library
- Select the cog next to your personal account name, then select Settings
- Use the tabs and toggles provided under AI Customization to choose whether titles, descriptions, or chapters should be generated for each type of video
FAQ
What types of videos can I control AI customization on?
You can control AI customization on different types of videos, depending on where you’re applying the changes.
- Recorded videos - Any videos you recorded with Vidyard (e.g., the browser extension or desktop app)
- Single avatar videos - Any individual videos you generate in the Vidyard platform
- Uploaded videos (paid plans only) - Any videos that have been uploaded to the Vidyard folder you’re customizing, or any folder inheriting from it.
Why are all of the AI Customization toggles grayed out?
If you notice your AI Customization toggles are grayed out, you may not have the correct permissions to make changes. To edit AI customization, you’ll need the Manage AI customization permission on shared folders and the Manage personal AI customization setting for your own library.
Reach out to your account Admin to either give you the necessary permission/setting or make the changes themselves.
Why can’t I choose who can change AI customization settings?
Users that are in a Free Workspace or a Starter account have set, default permissions and settings that cannot be changed. For people on these accounts:
- Only Admins can make changes to AI customization settings on shared folders
- Users can edit the AI customization settings on their own personal folders (this ability cannot be turned off)
