How to buy additional user seats
In Vidyard Business Plans, each user in the account occupies a seat. As your team continues to grow, you may need to increase the number of seats included in your plan before you can add more users.
You can purchase additional user seats directly from your Vidyard account, or by talking to a member of our team.
Purchase more user seats in Vidyard
You can choose to purchase new user seats directly from your Vidyard account, using the payment method we have on file for your subscription.
- Sign in to your Vidyard account
- Select Admin > Users from the main menu, then select Buy Seats
- Enter the number of seats you want to purchase (type in a value or use the + and - buttons), then select Review Purchase

Review your purchase, then select Confirm Purchase when ready
- If your company requires a Purchase Order number for transactions, enter the number in the PO # field
- You must verify that you have read our Privacy Policy
- You must confirm that you are authorized to process transactions on behalf of your organization
Once your seat purchase has been confirmed, you can add new users to Vidyard and assign them to a Team.
Reviewing your seat purchase
Before you confirm a purchase for more seats, you have the opportunity to review the details of your order.
Refer to the following table for a description of the different terms used in your order:
Term | Definition |
New Seat Count | The new total number of seats on your account (previous # of seats + seats being purchased). |
Renewal Date |
The date (mmm/dd/yyyy) that your contract with Vidyard renews. |
Renewal Total | Total amount due for all seats (previous # of seats + seats being purchased) at your next renewal. |
Amount Due |
Total amount due for the number of seats being purchased today. *The seats being purchased are prorated based on the remaining time in your subscription, and will be charged to your credit card (if enrolled in autopay) or invoiced to your account at the time of purchase. |
Payment Method | The last 4 digits of the credit card on file (if applicable), or acknowledgement that the invoice for this purchase will automatically be sent to the main billing contact for your account. |
PO # | An optional field for your own records. Use if your company requires you to associate a special purchase order number with transactions. |
Purchase seats from a Vidyard Team Member
You may have to speak with a member of our Team to purchase additional seats if:
- You are within 60 days of your contract renewal
- You have a custom contract with Vidyard
- You want to purchase more than 50 seats
To purchase additional seats, contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Executive (if applicable), or speak with a member of our Sales Team.
Frequently asked questions
How am I charged for seats if I am part way through my subscription term?
When you purchase seats with a credit card from your Vidyard account, you are charged a prorated cost per seat based on the remaining time in your subscription term.
Upon renewal of your contract, the full cost of each seat is added to the balance owing for the following subscription term.
Is there a limit on the number of seats I can purchase?
You can purchase between 1-50 seats at a time from the Users page in your Vidyard account.
If you need to purchase more than 50 seats in a single order, please speak directly with a member of our team.
Can I change the payment method I use to purchase seats?
If you want to update the credit card or other payment method on file for your subscription, contact our team at accountsreceivable@vidyard.com.
