How to record and share videos in Salesloft

With the Vidyard integration, your team can record and share video messages in their email cadences directly from Salesloft.

• Easily add videos to emails from your personal library or access shared team folders (with Vidyard Business plans).
• Add videos to your Templates and Snippets to save time and re-use content
• Get notified when viewers watch a video so you know exactly when to follow-up and time your next steps.

Set up requirements

• You must be an admin in Salesloft to enable the Vidyard integration

Enable Vidyard in Salesloft

Once set up an administrator enables the integration, each user should see the Vidyard icon when composing or editing an email in Salesloft.

1. Sign in to your Salesloft account
2. Go to Settings   > Integrations
3. Select the toggle next to Vidyard to enable the integration

Share videos in an Salesloft email

1. Open a new email message
2. Select the Integrations icon from the toolbar, then click on Vidyard
3. Select one or more videos from your library to share
   • Selecting multiple videos creates a playlist
4. Click Share to add the video thumbnail & link to your email message
   • If needed, click and drag the corners of the thumbnail to resize the image

Select videos from a shared folder

Applicable to Vidyard Business plans (Essentials, Growth, Enterprise)

In addition to your personal library of videos, you can also select videos from any shared folders that you have access to in Vidyard.

1. Click on Folders at the top of your library
2. Choose a folder from the list to switch into
3. Select any videos from the folder that you’d like to share

Record, upload, or create an AI video in Salesloft

Need to send or respond to an email with a personal message? You can record a new video (either camera or screen recording), or generate an AI video (camera only) directly from Salesloft.

If you're on a Pro plan or above and already have a video file on your computer, use Upload Video to add it to your library.

1. Open a new email message
2. Select the Integrations icon > Vidyard to open your video library
3. Choose the kind of video you'd like to create
   • Select New Video to record your camera or screen, or upload a video file
   • Select AI Video to generate a new video with your AI avatar 

Once you’re finished, you can select Share to add your video to the body of the email.

Need to make changes to your video before sharing? Click on Edit in Vidyard to change the thumbnail, trim your video, and edit other settings. 

Add videos to Templates and Snippets

You can also add videos to your Templates and Snippets in Salesloft. This allows you to save time and re-use any standard, generic videos that you regularly send to contacts.

1. Create a new Template or Snippet in Salesloft
2. Select the Integrations icon from the toolbar, then select Vidyard
3. Select 1 or more videos from your library
4. Click on Share to add the video link and thumbnail image to your template or snippet

If you often send unique personalized videos to each contact, you can instead add placeholder text in your template or snippet to remind yourself or other team members where to add a video (for example, “<insert video here”>).

Get notified when someone watches a video

When you share videos in a Salesloft email, a tracking token is added to the sharing link so that you can identify your viewers and get notified when they watch your video.

To see the tracking token, inspect the video link in your email and look for ?vyemail={{email_address}} at the end of the URL

When a recipient watches your video, you’ll get notified in up to 3 different locations:

•  Your notifications feed in the Vidyard browser extension, desktop app and your account on vidyard.com (dependent on your notification preferences)
  
•   An email from Vidyard in your inbox (dependent on your notification preferences)
• Your recipient’s Activity Feed and your Live Feed in Salesloft (requires the Vidyard Feeds Integration)
  • • You must be the contact's owner in Salesloft to receive Live Feed notifications
