Requirements

It's simple to embed a Vidyard player into a community page using the Vidyard lightning component

  1. In your Salesforce Community Builder, click Page Editor. Page Editor is the second option in the righthand menu.
  2. You will find the vidyard_player component under Custom Components in the Lightning Components list.
The Vidyard Player component is at the bottom of the components list, under a heading called 'custom components'.
  3. Click and drag the vidyard_player component onto the page, and drop it where you want the player to appear.
The Vidyard component is being dragged onto the page.
  4. The component will appear on the page with a "404: Page not found" message. This indicates that you have not selected a player yet.
  5. Click the embedded component to open the configuration options.
The Vidyard component is installed in the Community page, but a 'page not found' V-bot page is showing, since there is no player yet.
  6. A menu on the right side will appear. Enter the UUID for the player you want to embed. If needed, you can adjust the player height.
Note: You can find the player UUID in your player's settings tab.
The righthand menu has a UUID field, with a player UUID in it.
  7. The player will appear in the embedded component on the community page. Publish the page and start collecting view data!
The Salesforce Community Builder page now has a Vidyard player embedded.
