Folders allow you to strategically organize the video content in your account. There is no limit to the number of folders you can create.
Folders are also used to cascade important settings and features to the rest of your account. Unless specifically overwritten, any folders beneath the parent folder will inherit the following:
- Branded sharing page configurations
- Integrations (Marketo, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Account features (Events Library, Video Hubs, Analytics, etc.)
- Default player settings
Video analytics move in the opposite direction. Data gathered from videos in a subfolder will roll up to the parent folder for an aggregate view of your entire account.
Requirements
- You must be a member of the Admin team
Add a new folder
- From the Vidyard dashboard, select Admin > Folders
- Select + New Folder
- Enter a name for your folder, then click Create
Remove a folder
When you delete a folder, any remaining content in the folder will also be deleted. This includes videos, players, and any events (CTAs) that you've created in the folder's Event Library.
Before you delete a folder, make sure to transfer any players that you do not want to lose to another folder.
- From the Vidyard dashboard, select Admin > Folders
- Click on the trash icon next to the folder that you want to delete
- Click Confirm
