How to add an intro banner to your screen recordings

Introduce yourself by adding your name and job title to screen recordings 👋

You can use the Intro Banner when recording with the Vidyard browser extension (for Chrome & Edge), desktop app, and some integrations like Vidyard for Gmail.

The banner appears in the bottom, left-hand corner of your screen for the first 8 seconds of the recording. You can use the banner either with or without your camera bubble.

Requirements

• You must have installed either the Vidyard desktop app or the browser extension (for Chrome or Edge)
• You must be recording with either the Screen, or Screen + Cam options (the intro banner is not available on camera-only recordings)

Turn on your intro banner

Open the Vidyard browser extension or desktop app, then check to make sure the Intro banner setting is turned on.

Alternatively, select the Screen or Screen + Cam recording option. Then, select the Intro Banner button in the lower, left-hand corner of your screen.

Change your banner's text and color

Once you've turned on your intro banner, you can edit both your name and title, and change the banner to your preferred color.

Select the Edit Text button to change the name and title on your intro banner. Click on the Edit Text icon again, or press Enter  on your keyboard to finish.

Select the color palette icon 🎨 to choose a different color.
