Will Vidyard push captions with the video to Facebook?

Vidyard does not share or sync captions to Facebook. This is true of both videos that are uploaded to Facebook via our social sharing options or pushed using the Facebook integration.

To add captions to a video on Facebook, you can either:

1. Manually add captions to the video when uploaded to Facebook
2. Download the .srt file from Vidyard and add it the video on Facebook

Both of these options require you to edit the video on Facebook. 

Download a caption file from Vidyard

1. Navigate to the video in Vidyard 
2. Select Captions.
3. Select the caption that you want to use, then click Download to get the .srt file.

Adding Closed Captions to a Facebook Video

After the video has been uploaded to Facebook, use the publishing tools to add the .srt file to the video.
