How to change your camera background

Use camera backgrounds to stay professional and minimize distractions in your video

Whether you're working in a busy cafe or a messy office, you can change your camera background to declutter your space, minimize distractions for your viewers, and help you record videos with confidence.

You can set a new camera background when recording in the Vidyard browser extension (Chrome or Edge).

Change your camera background

1. Open the Vidyard extension, then select Screen + Cam or Camera as your recording type
2. Select Background
   
3. Choose the background you'd like to use, then select the back button when finished.
   • Blur - blur out your camera background
   • Stock images - choose from a range of available quick-start stock backgrounds
   • Custom (available to Starter, Teams, and Enterprise) - upload up to 3 of your own background images (max 3MB)
   • None - remove your selected background 
     
4. Select Start Recording to begin creating your video
