How to search for videos in your library
Need to find a video in your account? You can use the search bar to quickly locate any video you're looking for, no matter where you use Vidyard.
Use search to find videos in your account on Vidyard.com, the mobile app, and the Vidyard app in Gmail or Outlook.
Filter your videos by type
The dropdown menu at the top of your video library lets you filter your videos by their type. Once you've selected an option from the dropdown menu, only videos of that type will be visible in your library.
You can use this filter after using the search function to further refine your search.
- Recorded videos - Any video recorded on the browser extension, in our email app (Gmail, Salesloft, etc.), the desktop app, mobile app, or on the Vidyard platform.
- Avatar videos - Any videos created with your AI Avatar, either individually, in bulk, or via Video Agent in a campaign.
- Uploaded videos - Any videos you uploaded from your computer.
Search for videos by title
Use the search bar to find videos and playlists in your library by title. Search terms are not case-sensitive.
- Sign in to your account on vidyard.com, then select Library from the main menu
- Enter a key term in the search bar to see a list of video & playlist results
- Open the Vidyard mobile app
- Select the search icon

Search for folders
You can use search to find any folders that you have access to in your library.
As you enter a search term, matching folder names appear in the Folders section of the results.
Keep in mind that in Free Workspaces, Starter, Teams, or Enterprise accounts, your search location affects what folders you can search for.
Advanced search
Users can also search for videos using additional criteria, including the video's description, tags, internal notes, and unique identifier (UUID).
- Sign in to your account on vidyard.com, then select Library
- Select the dropdown arrow next to the search bar at the top of the library page
- Use the filters to select your search terms (title, description, tags, notes, UUID)
- To filter by tag, select Add tag, then search for or select tags from the list
- Select a Location for your search (anywhere versus the current folder)
- Select Search to get your results
Search your current folder versus anywhere
When you use the search bar in your library on vidyard.com, your search automatically includes videos and playlists from Anywhere, across all folders in the account.
To find a video or playlist more easily, change your search location to the Current Folder to narrow results to the current folder and its subfolders.
- Select the dropdown arrow next to the search bar
- Change Location from Anywhere to Current Folder
- Use the filters to select your search terms (title, description, tags, notes, UUID)
- Select Search to get your results
Frequently asked questions
How do I edit, duplicate, or see video insights from my search results?
In your library, the menu (3 dots) next to a video allows you to perform actions like Edit, Duplicate, and open the video's Insights.
In Vidyard Starter, Teams, or Enterprise accounts, when your search location is set to Anywhere the menu next to each video will not be available. Change your search location to Current Folder to access the menu from your search results.
