How to assign Video Agent licenses to users

Get your team started with AI videos and custom avatars by assigning Video Agent licenses to your users. You can assign licenses to existing users, or give users a license when you first add them to your account.

Granting users a license allows them to:

Assigning Video Agent licenses to existing users

  1. Sign in to your Vidyard account
  2. Select Admin from the main menu, then Users
  3. Select the menu button (3 dots) next to a user, then select Edit Licenses Vidyard users page with menu open next to a user and option to edit licenses selected
  4. Check the Video Agent box under add-ons, then Confirm to finish Edit licenses screen open with Video Agent license checked and confirm button highlighted

Assigning Video Agent licenses to new users

  1. Select Admin from the main menu, then Users
  2. Select Add Users Vidyard users page with button to add new users selected
  3. Enter one or more email addresses into the box provided, then select a Team for your new user(s)
  4. Check the Video Agent box under add-ons, then Add to finish Add users page with email in email field, admin team selected from team dropdown, and Video Agent license box checked, with the Add button highlighted

Remove a user's license

If a user no longer needs their Video Agent license, you can remove it from them and free the license up for another user.

  1. Select Admin from the main menu, then Users 
  2. Select the menu button (3 dots) next to a user, then select Edit Licenses Vidyard users page with menu open next to a user and option to edit licenses selected
  3. Uncheck the Video Agent box under add-ons, then Confirm to finish Edit licenses screen open with Video Agent license unchecked and confirm button highlighted

Assign or remove Video Agent licenses in bulk

You can assign or remove Video Agent licenses for multiple users at once by checking or unchecking the boxes next to each user on the Users page, and selecting Edit Licences at the top right-hand corner.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I check how many licenses I have remaining?

You can see the amount of Video Agent licenses you've used at the top of the Users page, by selecting AdminUsers from the main menu. Vidyard users page with Video Agent license allotment highlighted next to user count and video suite licenses

You'll also see your total under Video Agent in the add-ons section anytime you assign a license or remove a license for any of your users. Edit licenses screen open with Video Agent license allotment highlighted under the add-ons section

Can my users still create AI videos without a license?

Yes, users in your account can still create a lifetime maximum of 15 AI videos for free without a license, using stock avatars. Assigning them a Video Agent license lets them create unlimited AI videos, and have up to 3 custom AI Avatars.
